(Our hope)
16
For God so loved the world, that he gave
his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should
not perish, but have everlasting life. 17For
God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but
that the world through him might be saved. 18He
that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth
not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the
name of the only begotten Son of God. 19And
this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and
men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were
evil. 20For every one that doeth evil
hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds
should be reproved. 21But he that doeth
truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest,
that they are wrought in God.
Galatians 5:22
Jesus said, "you will know them by their fruit"...what is
the fruit of the spirit?
19Now the works of
the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication,
uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20Idolatry,
witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife,
seditions, heresies, 21Envyings, murders,
drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you
before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do
such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
22But the fruit of the Spirit is
love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23Meekness, temperance: against such there
is no law. 24And they that are
Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
25If we live in the Spirit, let us also
walk in the Spirit. 26Let us not be
desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one
another.

11Put on the whole
armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of
the devil. 12For we wrestle not against
flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers,
against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against
spiritual wickedness in high places. 13Wherefore
take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to
withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14Stand therefore, having your loins girt
about with truth, and having on the
breastplate of righteousness;
15And your feet shod with the
preparation of the gospel of peace;
16Above all, taking the shield of
faith, wherewith ye shall be able
to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17And
take the helmet of salvation, and
the sword of the Spirit, which is the word
of God: 18Praying always with all
prayer and supplication in the Spirit...
